Alrighty guys. I would like ta start playing guitar. I jus need to know what all I need...? help? pleeeeeeeez?

ok. here we go. i'm only 13 and I'm a chick. and i wanna start playin guitar. and let me just say i know NOTHING about guitars. WAIT. they have six strings. that's it lol. well... I need help. I'm gunna start on electric and my family's budget's kinda... yanno? TIGHT as an emo kid's pants if ya get me. i know i need an amp and a teacher. im into metal rock. and SOME soft stuff. emphasis on soft like... hmmm hawthorne heights. LOVE them.
