This guy at school is obsessed with me!PLEASE HELP?

This guy (lets call him Matt) is literally obsessed with me no joke. In cl i feel him looking at me. He tells all his buddies about how hot and y i look and that he's in love. He tells his friends from other schools that were dating and we go on dates and watch the stars??WTF??? (i get this information from his friends which are also my friends) Oh yeah and a guy friend of mine mentioned to Matt that he wanted to go out with me or something and Matt told him "If you EVER date her i will frickin KILL YOU!!" My guyfriend told me this and if i wasnt in math cl i would of slapped Matt right across the face. I rarely talk to him, i didnt lead him on or anything. I've tried a lot of things. I flat out ignore him, my friends yell at him, and stuff like that. I want to approach him myself but what should i say? "Please stop stalking me?" Help please?
