I just ped my Certified Nursing istant state board exam in FL and am currently looking for a job. I've noticed that there are way more jobs for Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) than for CNAs, especially the hospitals, why is that so? What do PCTs do differently from us CNAs? How much do they make? Would you go for PCT training or go straight for LPN or RN? I called a PCT course and they told me the course is 8 months long. And LPN at the local Vocational center is 11 months. What would be better?
