Boys are so confusing!!!!! Should I ask this guy out, tell him I like him, or what?

There's this guy who always flirts with me during the one cl we have together. He's called me a flirt, told me I was hot, asked me who I liked and who I was going to the dance with. Once, he said my name so when I turned around he said "I love you" in this really low seductive voice lol. He's always playfully poking and teasing me and is really funny and hot. But he goes out with one girl after the other and is really friendly with every girl. I don't know if he's a player but I'm pretty sure he is because all my friends told me that and other people have called him one too. I really like him though, and I always thought he was out of my league, but he seems to like me or maybe he's toying with me? I'm a shy person, but I can't live without him knowing or having any idea I like him and I never really flirted with him because I didn't want to get hurt if he was just playing with me. I was thinking of asking him out or at least telling him I like him. How would I go about doing this? Thanks so much.
