Does a hernia stop my dog from being a stud?

There really is no need to rub the hernia.Either it will close up on its own or it won't.I would feel one that small will probably close up if the pup is quite young now.As to studding him that would be alright barring any other issues since a hernia like this is not aways hereditary sometimes it is caused by the mother dog pulling to hard on the cord at birth.If it needs to be repaired I'm not sure about showing since you'd have to check to see if this is a procedure that would disqualify him from being shown.I know corrective surgery can do this when wanting to show.Also if your pup is from show dogs the breeder can ist you.
