He wants me to stay the night, what do i do? What do i tell my mom?

Okay, there's this guy, I guess you can call him my potential boyfriend. Anyways, he's 23 and I'm 18. He doesn't want to come over my house to hang because I live with my mom and he rather have me come over his cousins and spend the night. The problem is my mom is a little overbearing so is have to lie. I don't drive so I need a ride there and back.
