How do you stop stressing out about getting stressed and having regrets?

Do research by typing "negative thoughts" and people will have various ideas on how to stop them. Try yahoo and youtube. I let things go. I just stop the bad thought as soon as it happens. I exercise. I call someone I care about. I meditate. I pray and think of all the things i'm thankful for before bed.
