Should the US of A Televise Torture?

Since so many people are angry that recent Terror Suspect was not handed over to a Military Tribunal with the veiled if unspoken sentiment that he would have been tortured to extract info, why not simply schedule a weekly television show hosted by Cheney and show 'suspected' terrorists being tortured to the amusement of the populace. There could be Special Guest Celebrity Torturers such as Rush and Glenn and naturally Anne and Liz Cheney and it could all be done in a way calculated to thoroughly p-o 'enemies of the state (ie; Muslims). Wouldn't it be a ratings hit? Is this not what a majority of Americans want?
