Why was my NO emissions so high on my 2002 Mazda Protege smog test?

In my state, the avg for NO is 18. The maximum is 746. I tested at 701. All other tests were way below the averages. Is this an indication of trouble up ahead as my car ages? Or is this normal for a compact car like this?
